Founder & Medical Director

Dr. Burak Gezen, MD

Dr. Burak Gezen

Dual board-certified in internal and palliative medicine, he has more than twenty years in healthcare. He earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and fellowship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

He has a broad range of clinical experience from home-based primary care, long-term care, hospice, and over a decade as a hospitalist with Centra Health. He currently serves as Medical Director for Heritage Green Assisted Living, Hospice of Virginia in Lynchburg, as well as Nomad Health and Wellness.

During residency he saw how profoundly lifestyle shapes long-term health. After facing his own health challenges, he rebuilt his approach to medicine around it. Today he practices longevity-focused internal medicine. He enjoys working closely with his patients to help them feel better, move better, and live full, vibrant lives.

Outside medicine he trains Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, chess and rock climbing. He represented Team USA at the 2025 WCBO Chessboxing World Championship, where he brought home the gold. He will be competing this fall at the 2026 WCBO Chessboxing World Championship in Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to competing as an athlete, he serves as the Team USA Captain and Physician.

Physician Assistant

Greer Trainham, DMSc, MPAM, PA-C

Board-certified physician assistant with advanced training across emergency medicine, critical care and hospital medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg, graduating summa cum laude, and completed a critical care and hospitalist PA fellowship. Her published research covers pulmonary hypertension, and she has presented on chronic disease management by invitation.

She practices in a high-acuity emergency department, managing patients across every level of illness and performing advanced procedures under time pressure. That background, alongside extensive ICU and hospitalist experience, means she recognises the early signs of disease and can turn complicated medicine into a plan you can act on.

Her approach to longevity is grounded in her own practice as much as the literature. Pilates and running are part of her week, and she believes durable health is built through prevention, education, and habits that hold up over decades. She has a special interest in woman's health and pediatrics.
